New Photos from David Fincher's 'Gone Girl' Deepen the Mystery

Mysteries abound in David Fincher's adaptation of Gillian Flynn's best-selling novel, Gone Girl, and it's been remarkable how the many twists and turns have been kept so far under wraps. That's despite a heavy marketing campaign that has included trailers and various viral news reports, not to mention a slew of images like the dozen or so you'll find below. But you want to know what's even more of a mystery? How a guy like Tyler Perry, who inexplicably has a small role in the film, can be a director in Hollywood and not know who the heck David Fincher is. Nor did he know anything about Gone Girl before he accepted the job.Or at least that's what he told Yahoo a few days ago...

Perry: “I probably would have walked away from it. If I had known who David Fincher was, and his body of work, or if I’d known the book was so popular, I would have said. And my agent knew that! He didn’t tell me until after I signed on!”

It's almost like he exists only a world where there is a Madea and nothing else. Whatever. Gone Girl opens October 3rd and stars Ben Affleck, Rosamund Pike, Neil Patrick Harris, Scoot McNairy, Patrick Fugit, Emily Ratajkowski, and Carrie Coon. Check out the synopsis and the new images.
