Advance Screening of 'The Drop' Starring Tom Hardy and James Gandolfini
We lost a great one when James Gandolfini passed away last year, and now we have one final chance to see him in action. Gandolfini's last new project was The Drop, a crime film starring Tom Hardy and Noomi Rapace, based on a story by Dennis Lehane (Mystic River, Gone Baby Gone). We're happy to offer our readers the chance to see The Drop before it opens in theaters by attending a free advance screening on Wednesday, September 10th at 7:30pm at AMC Georgetown.

SYNOPSIS: THE DROP is a new crime drama from MichaĆ«l R. Roskam, the Academy Award nominated director of BULLHEAD. Based on a screenplay from Dennis Lehane (SHUTTER ISLAND, GONE BABY GONE), THE DROP follows lonely bartender Bob Saginowski (Tom Hardy) through a covert scheme of funneling cash to local gangsters – “money drops” in the underworld of Brooklyn bars. Under the heavy hand of his employer and cousin Marv (James Gandolfini), Bob finds himself at the center of a robbery gone awry and entwined in an investigation that digs deep into the neighborhood’s past. Also featuring Noomi Rapace, Matthias Schoenaerts, Ann Dowd and John Ortiz.
