Somebody out there must really love Justin Long because suddenly he's all over the place. While he's no longer trapped in the walrus suit of Kevin Smith's Tusk, he's also got the crime flick The Lookalike on the way. Tusk wasn't in theaters more than a few days and The Lookalike probably won't do much better. However there has been a groundswell of buzz building for Comet, a love story that has Long romancing Emmy Rossum.
Directed by Sam Esmail, the story centers on Dell (Long) and Kimberly (Rossum) as their six-year relationship goes through numerous ups and downs. The catch is that their story isn't necessarily told with a firm footing in reality, rather in non-linear surreal fashion. The new trailer doesn't give away much (rare for trailers nowadays) but this already looks like a cut above some of Long's other romance films which have been pretty bland for the most part.
Comet hits theaters on December 5th.
