Kevin Spacey has 'Nine Lives', Dave Franco and Emma Roberts have 'Nerve', and More

There have been a lot of movies titled Nine Lives, but none of them sound as wild as Barry Sonnenfeld's new film. He's got Kevin Spacey to star as "a workaholic businessman who suffers a terrible accident that leaves him trapped in the body of the family cat." Say what? Well, we already know he doesn't mind playing a cat on TV, but how about becoming one?  [TheWrap]

Holiday movies tend to be one big, wintry mixed bag, but with the cast assembled for Let It Snow how can it possibly be bad? Alan Arkin, John Goodman, Ed Helms, Diane Keaton, Anthony Mackie, Amanda Seyfried, June Squibb, Jake Lacy, Marisa Tomei, and Olivia Wilde will star in the Christmas comedy about "the exasperated members of an extended family as they attempt to gather for their annual holiday celebration." Jessie Nelson, who hasn't directed a film since 2001's I Am Sam, is behind the camera with production already underway for release on November 13th. [Variety]

Dave Franco and Emma Roberts have got some Nerve starring in the latest film from Ariel Schulman and Henry Joost. The Catfish duo will direct the thriller about "a high school senior who finds herself immersed in an online game of truth of dare, where her every move starts to become manipulated by an anonymous community of 'watchers.' And finally, the gorgeous combination of Penelope Cruz and Diane Kruger will star in Isabel Coixet's This Man, This Woman. Frederic Raphael (Eyes Wide Shut) wrote the screenplay which follows an "estranged man, Matt Heller, and a woman, Martha Parks (Cruz) encounter each other by chance on a plane, and relive memories of their turbulent romantic relationship. Kruger will play Kirsty Sachs, a talk show host who has an affair with Heller and changes the course of his whirlwind relationship with Parks." The search is on for the male lead so that production can begin as quickly as possible. [Deadline]
