By now you've probably heard the horror stories about Serena. Starring the hot duo of Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence, the film was shot awhile back between Silver Linings Playbook and American Hustle. So where has it been? Riding the pine while rumors the Susanne Bier-directed drama was a complete trainwreck. Critics were hella harsh when it finally debuted late last year, and soon you'll be able to judge for yourself when it hits VOD this week. But first, how about one final trailer?
The Depression-era drama has Cooper as a lumber magnate who marries the mysterious, forceful Serena (Lawrence), only to have problems arise professionally and personally. He's got a child from another woman, and when Serena discovers she can't have kids it cranks her jealousy meter up to "Psychotic".
So is the movie any good? Keep an eye out for my review which will be up in a few short hours. Serena hits VOD February 26th, followed by a theatrical run on March 27th. It will be very interesting to see how audiences respond. Will they turn out because of the starpower? Or stay away because of the bad press? Just know that I picked the above picture because of this movie's odd fascination with killer animals.
