Lena Dunham, Norman Reedus, and Diane Kruger Take to the 'Sky'
One is the controversial creator and star of HBO's Girls, the other is the most popular actor on AMC's The Walking Dead, but now Lena Dunham and Norman Reedus are set to team up on the big screen. The duo, along with Diane Kruger, Q’orianka Kilcher (The New World), and Gilles Lellouche (Tell No One) will star in Sky, the latest film from French director Fabienne Berthaud.
Kruger is taking the lead on this one, starring as "Romy, who goes with her husband (Lellouche) on a trip to California and accidentally kills him during a violent fight. She flees the scene and embarks on a life-changing solo trip across California and Nevada."
The film is being shopped in Berlin right now and is described as "character-driven and has multiple layers: It’s not just a thriller, it’s also a film about this woman emancipating herself".
Reedus and Dunham are probably the biggest draws here, and if American audiences are going to show up at all it will probably be for them, but the truth is neither is proven as a box office draw. It's also unclear just how big their roles are in the film, which is shooting now. [Variety]
