It hurts, I know, but the wait for The Raid 3 is going to be awhile. That's because Gareth Evans has a couple of projects that are coming up first that will be occupying his time. One of those is his studio film, Breaking the Bank, and it will be interesting to see how his chaotic style of filmmaking works within that system. But before that Evans will be working on Blister, and he's tweeted the first face-smashing image from the set.
Expected to arrive some time in 2016, the film will reunite Evans with The Raid's Iko Uwais, Yayan Ruhian, and Very Tri Yulisman, along with Yandi and Larnell Stovall. Plot details remain slim but Evans has previously called it his take on the American gangster movie, which kind of sounds like what The Raid 2 turned out to be. [FilmDivider]
