According to Screen Daily, Herzog will take to the air and fly to the Bolivian salt flats to film Salt and Fire, a romantic thriller starring German actress Veronica Ferres (Hector and the Search for Happiness). In what actually sounds like a Roland Emmerich-style disaster flick, the story centers on a scientist who clashes with the head of a corporation responsible for an ecological disaster, only to team up with her nemesis to prevent the eruption of a supervolcano that could become a global catastrophe.
With Herzog at the helm it's doubtful this will be a straight up action movie, but then predicting what the director will do is probably foolish.
