Get Ready for the 27-Hour Marvel Movie Marathon!
Grab your Captain America shield, your Thor hammer, and a diaper because 27 straight hours of Marvel movies are headed to your favorite theater! With Avengers: Age of Ultron on the way, Marvel has announced the Marvel Ultimate Marathon Event, a 27-hour marathon of every single Marvel film beginning on April 29th with 2008's Iron Man and concluding the next night.
The event will take place at AMC Theaters, Regal Entertainment, Cinemark, Megaplex, Harkins and National Amusements, with tickets a bargain at only $65. That's 11 movies in total, so break that down and it's less than $6 each, definitely less than what you'd be paying to see them individually. Of course, most people already own most of these films on Blu-Ray, but for something like this you pay for the experience of sitting next to a guy painted green like the Hulk or wearing a Loki costume.
Of course...this also means having to endure Captain America: The First Avenger again, but you could always use those two hours to go out and grab dinner or a nap.
Here's the schedule for AMC's marathon. The rest have yet to be revealed but they will probably play out the same way. Regal has made their locations available here, while more information on AMC can be found here.
