Check Out a Preview of Marvel's New 'Ant-Man' Trailer
Wondering why there hasn't been a lot of buzz surrounding Marvel's Ant-Man yet? It has nothing to do with Edgar Wright or anything like that. The problem is there's a Hulk-sized Avengers: Age of Ultron blocking its path, and Marvel isn't going to throw their full marketing weight around until afterwards. But when that's done, Ant-Man is going to get hype a million times bigger than his diminutive stature.
It begins later today with the first full Ant-Man trailer, but for now you'll have to settle with this 30-second teaser that debuted during last night's MTV Movie Awards. Paul Rudd stars as Scott Lang, a petty thief who works alongside the brilliant Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) until he's called to action on a heist that could save the Earth.
This teaser, like the brief footage we saw some time ago, looks fairly serious and doesn't have the quirky, offbeat tone of Guardians of the Galaxy like most expected. But with Adam McKay having written the script there's bound to be more humor than has been shown so far.
Also starring Evangeline Lilly, Michael Pena, Corey Stoll, Bobby Cannavale, Judy Greer, and John Slattery, Ant-Man arrives on July 17th. We'll update this post when the full trailer hits.
