Given all of the rumors we've already seen about a new Indiana Jones film over at Disney, this latest update is like the most incremental step forward possible. In fact, it's really only confirmation of what we already knew, that one day Disney and Lucasfilm will make an Indiana Jones movie. Like no sh*t.
Vanity Fair, who have been knee-keep in Star Wars: The Force Awakens the last couple days, caught up with producer Kathleen Kennedy and asked her about the future of Indiana Jones, to which she replied it "will one day be made inside this company. When it will happen, I’m not quite sure. We haven’t started working on a script yet, but we are talking about it."
Not much to go on there, but that's understandable as their focus is clearly on Star Wars not Indiana Jones. As far as "confirmation" go this is pretty weak. Could Harrison Ford come back? He's been open to it in the past. Or will it be Disney's new golden boy, Chris Pratt? Without a script, director, or star it may be a long time before we find out anything more.
