JK Simmons and Jeremy Sisto Serve Up a Trailer for Tennis Comedy 'Break Point'
So maybe nobody really did see Wimbledon, after all? Otherwise there's no way we would be getting so many tennis comedies all at the same time. Now there's another one titled Break Point, and no it's not like the antithesis of the Point Break remake (although that could be cool if combined with tennis), rather it's a film that stars a bunch of people you've heard of but probably wouldn't pay to see....and JK "friggin' Simmons who you would definitely pay good money for. He's an Oscar winner, y'know? What's he doing in this?
Directed by Jay Karas, Break Point stars Jeremy Sisto (Six Feet Under), David Walton (the About a Boy TV series), Amy Smart (Crank), Adam DeVine (Pitch Perfect), and Simmons, this is basically About a Boy with 100% more double faults. Sisto plays a brash, aging doubles tennis star whose partner drops him, so with the help of his younger brother and a precocious kid he hopes to revive his career.
Speaking of faults, this trailer is one long series of them with most of the jokes hitting the net. Break Point hits VOD on July 21st before getting served in theaters on September 4th.
