Things Go Bump in the Night in New Trailer for Sundance Horror, 'The Hallow'

This past Sundance Film Festival was a gold mine for standout horrors from up and coming filmmakers. Not only was there the early-season hit It Follows, but Robert Eggers' atmospheric thriller The Witch took audiences (including me) by storm. But another one that has gained a ton of attention is The Hallow, from director Corin Hardy, the guy tasked with rebooting The Crow.

"Faeries, banshees, baby stealers"...yeah, this one's looking pretty twisted if this new international trailer is anything to go by. Starring Joseph Mawle (Game of Thrones), Bojana Novakovic (Generation Um), Michael McElhatton and Michael Smiley (Kill List), the creepy fable centers on a London conservationist who disturbs the evil, supernatural beings living in the surrounding forest. Here's the official synopsis:

When a London-based conservationist is sent to Ireland to survey an area of ancient forest believed by the superstitious locals to be hallowed ground, he unwittingly disturbs a horde of terrifying beings and must fight to protect his family.

We'll update you when The Hallow gains a U.S. date.
