Oliver Queen isn't the only CW superhero getting a new costume for next season. San Diego Comic-Con saw the reveal of the latest gear that Arrow will be sporting in season four, and now his pal Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) over in Central City is getting some new threads for The Flash's second season.
The new suit was designed by Maya Manli, who also came up with Arrow's new duds, and for the most part it remains the sleek, blazing red look seen last season. The biggest change can be seen right on Flash's chest as the lightning bolt logo has been given a red & white color scheme which is similar to how it has been in the comics for years. Perhaps this indicates a shift towards Flash's comic book roots; or perhaps the creator just find it more aesthetically pleasing.
We'll have to wait until The Flash returns on Oct. 6th to see if the suit's look is driven by storyline factors or not.
