The Truth is Out There: New Teaser for 'The X-Files' Revival

Some are calling this the "golden age of television", and maybe in terms of new shows that have emerged that is true. But we're also in the "recycling age of television", where it seems every show with a modest fanbase is getting a revival. Do we REALLY need Fuller House? Probably not. But one show that fans have genuinely been clamoring for is Chris Carter's The X-Files, and Fox has just dropped a brief teaser for Mulder and Scully's return.

While only 15 seconds in length, all of the ominous, sinister elements of the show are there. You've got Mulder and Scully (the ageless David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson) skulking around in dark corners, creepy government agents, and enough fog to choke an extraterrestrial. The six-episode event series will also feature the return of Mitch Pileggi as Walter Skinner and  William B. Davis as the Cigarette-Smoking Man.

The X-Files returns to Fox TV on January 24th.
