The last couple of years have seen the festival circuit become the launching ground for a number of unique, stylish horrors. It Follows, The Babadook, The Witch, and many more have chilled audiences to the bone, and another that terrified everyone who saw it during it festival run last year was Goodnight Mommy, from Austrian filmmakers Veronika Franz and Severin Fiala.
With a debut set for next month, Radius has revealed the creepy and unsettling first trailer for the film, and it's easy to see why so many think it will be one of the best genre films of the year. First-time actors Elias and Lukas Schwarz play twin siblings concerned that the woman claiming to be their mother, with her face all bandaged up from reconstructive surgery, may be someone else entirely.
If her bandaged up Joker-esque face isn't enough to give you nightmares then perhaps the unbearable levels of tension will do the trick. Or maybe it will be what she does to the giant cockroaches. ::shudders::
