Liam Neeson may be known as a tough guy but he splits his time pretty well between action and comedy. A Millions Ways to Die in the West, Ted 2, Entourage...Neeson's particular set of skills go far beyond just breaking faces in the Taken movies, and he's especially good at poking fun at his grizzled screen persona. Now he's ready to take that self-deprecating humor to another level with the action-comedy, The Revenger.
Neeson will star in The Revenger, a film that has a lot of comedy talent surrounding it. Ruben Fleischer, director of Zombieland and 30 Minutes Or Less, will direct from a script by Reno 911's Thomas Lennon and Robert Ben Garant. They also wrote Hell Baby, all of the Night at the Museum movies, and The Pacifier.
There aren't any plot details but the title suggests a satirical take on Neeson's action career, which could be a lot of fun. Next up for Neeson is Martin Scorsese's historical drama, Silence. [Deadline]
