Despite a cast led by Bradley Cooper and co-stars Alicia Vikander, Sienna Miller, Omar Sy, Daniel Bruhl,Uma Thurman, Jamie Dornan, Emma Thompson and Lily James, there hasn't been a ton of attention on Burnt, the culinary drama directed by John Wells. The film has been somewhat forgotten by The Weinstein Company, who spent more time trying to figure out what to title it than actually promoting it.
A new trailer for the film has been released and it does a good job of showing off the incredible amount of talent, while showing that this could be a pretty substantial character piece from screenwriter Steven Knight. Cooper plays Adam Jones, a rock star Paris chef looking to gain his third Michelin star. Here's the synopsis:
Chef Adam Jones (Bradley Cooper) had it all – and lost it. A two-star Michelin rockstar with the bad habits to match, the former enfant terrible of the Paris restaurant scene did everything different every time out, and only ever cared about the thrill of creating explosions of taste. To land his own kitchen and that third elusive Michelin star though, he’ll need the best of the best on his side, including the beautiful Helene (Sienna Miller). BURNT is a remarkably funny and emotional story about the love of food, the love between two people, and the power of second chances.
Burnt hits theaters on Oct. 2nd.
