New 'The Force Awakens' TV Spot for that Never-Ending 'Star Wars' Franchise

With the entire world caught up in Star Wars: The Force Awakens fever, even non-stories are worth making a big deal out of. A recent Wired article provocatively-titled "You Won't Live to See the Final Star Wars Movie" basically says what anybody with a functioning brain already knows; that Disney and Lucasfilm plan to keep making Star Wars movies forever until they no longer make money. Well I declare! Excuse me while I go over here to the fainting couch!

But that's got some worried about the franchise and the annual release pattern for new films. Right now there a handful of movies in development; of course the two sequels to 'The Force Awakens', plus Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and possible spinoffs following Boba Fett and Han Solo. Lawrence Kasdan, who co-wrote 'The Force Awakens' and penned The Empire Strikes Back, explains why it's not such a big deal how long Star Wars goes on...

"Star Wars is its own genre.  Like all genres, it can hold a million different kinds of artists and stories. They say 'Buddha is what you do to it.' And that's Star Wars. It can be anything you want it to be."

Whether or not Disney can keep up the quality of each film is a bigger concern, but it doesn't mean anything until 'The Force Awakens' opens on December 18th. To that end, here's a new TV spot centering on John Boyega as Finn.
