No company does marketing synergy quite like Disney, and last night they used their TGIT night of programming to promote the one they have that absolutely doesn't need more hype, Star Wars: The Force Awakens. It's already been a full week of promos, interviews, and character updates, but now there's more as the latest TV spot has new footage.
This is actually a surprisingly meaty clip with some glimpses at what could be key plot points, so take it upon yourself to decide whether or not to watch it. The focus is once again on Rey (Daisy Ridley) and Finn (John Boyega) as the next generation of heroes, with the latter engaging in a lightsaber battle with a stormtrooper. There's also shots of Jakku, the Millennium Falcon, and a scene of Han Solo (HarrisonFord) offering Rey a helping hand...or a helping blaster pistol.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens opens December 18th.
