'Transparent' Actress Amy Landecker Joins Marvel's 'Doctor Strange'

Filming on Marvel's Doctor Strange is already underway, but there's still room for at least one more role to be filled, and if it gets the Internet buzzing with rumors then that's even better. According to The Wrap, Amy Landecker has joined the film in a role that is being kept quiet on for now.

Landecker, who stars in the award-winning Amazon series Transparent, joins Benedict Cumberbatch as Strange, Tilda Swinton as The Ancient One, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Baron Mordo, Rachel McAdams as a version of Night Nurse, Mads Mikkelsen reportedly as Dormammu, and Michael Stuhlbarg as Nicodemus West. Landecker had a role opposite Stuhlbarg in the Coen Brothers' A Serious Man, as well.

It could be that Landecker is taking on the role of Clea, Strange's lover and a relative of the villain Dormammu. That's assuming the character has been written into the story, of course.  Doctor Strange is directed by Scott Derrickson and opens November 4th 2016.
