Pee-Wee's Back In The Teaser For Netflix's 'Pee-Wee's Big Holiday'

If you grew up in the '80s chances are you're familiar with Pee-Wee Herman, the oddball grown-up child portrayed by Paul Reubens. Beginning as a stand up act before hitting TV and the movies with the classic Pee-Wee's Big Adventure (please ignore the awful sequel), Herman has been out of the spotlight for a long time. But now he's back and looking to make a mark with a whole new generation who may not understand why "I know you are, but what am I?" is funny, and have definitely seen anyone do the "Pee-Wee Herman dance".

Netflix has debuted the first teaser for Pee-Wee's Big Holiday, which Judd Apatow has been on board to produce for years now. Reubens co-wrote the script with Paul Rust (star of Apatow's Love Netflix series), for John Lee (Broad City) to direct. Here's the official synopsis:

The new film stars the beloved fun-loving hero of TV, stage and film, Pee-wee Herman. In Pee-wee's Big Holiday, a fateful meeting with a mysterious stranger inspires Pee-wee Herman to take his first-ever holiday in this epic story of friendship and destiny. The film stars Pee-wee Herman, Joe Manganiello (True Blood, Magic Mike XXL), Jessica Pohly (Stalker), Alia Shawkat (Arrested Development) and Stephanie Beatriz (Brooklyn Nine-Nine), and was directed by John Lee (Wonder Showzen, Pee-wee’s Big Holiday). Paul Reubens and Paul Rust (Love, Arrested Development) wrote the film, that was produced by Reubens and Judd Apatow (Trainwreck, Bridesmaids).

Pee-Wee's Big Holiday hits Netflix on March 18th.
