Boyd Holbrook Will Battle Hugh Jackman In 'Wolverine 3'
With Hugh Jackman hanging up his claws and muttenchops after Wolverine 3, there's going to be more attention focused on this film than ever. And hopefully that also means he'll be surrounded by a cast that can give him the proper sendoff, and based on who will be co-starring as the film's lead villain, things are off to a pretty good start.
According to Variety, Boyd Holbrook is set to face Jackman in the film, which James Mangold is directing. Holbrook will play chief of security for a global corporation that has been tracking Wolverine, which sounds pretty bland so hopefully there's a lot more to the role than that. And does this mean we won't be seeing Liev Schreiber back as Sabretooth? Patrick Stewart is also expected to return as Charles Xavier.
Holbrook was great on Netflix's Narcos series, and had a small role in Gone Girl as the shady guy who ultimately robs Rosamund Pike. He also will be seen in the powerful drama The Free World, which debuted earlier this year at Sundance.
Wolverine 3 opens March 3rd 2017.
