The future is looking brighter than ever for Star Wars, with 'The Force Awakens' one of the biggest hits of all-time, the recent trailer for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story that looks incredible, and promises of more films every year for the foreseeable future. But sometimes it's good to look back at how it all began, and Alamo Drafthouse is allowing you to do that while surrounded by hundreds of complete strangers.
The always awesome Alamo Drafthouse has announced they'll be bringing the original Star Wars trilogy back to theaters across the country. Here in DC you'll be able to catch Episodes IV, V, and VI on August 6th at the Warner Theater. The downside? These are the 1997 remastered versions that George Lucas loves, so you won't get to see Han shooting first or anything like that. You'll also get a really awkward-looking digital Jabba, so enjoy that you guys.
Tickets go on sale here beginning May 4th, which you all know is Star Wars Day. The complete list of dates is below with more to be announced.
