Titles Confirmed For 'Men In Black/23 Jump Street' And 'Underworld 5'

Remember how this whole thing about a Men in Black/23 Jump Street crossover began as just some random email discovered during the Sony leak? It didn't seem like it was anything that could actually happen because....well, it just sounds ludicrous, right? Until you look at it a different way; Sony's two biggest franchises coming together in a massive sci-fi comedy that is sure to attract a big audience, whether the movie actually works or not. And now that we know James Bobin is on board to direct, we also now have word on the film's title, MIB 23.

The tile is a mish-mash of the two franchises which will be mish-mashing genres to try and make this whole thing make any kind of sense. Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum are expected to return, but it's unlikely Will Smith or Tommy Lee Jones will be involved. Last year a rumor surfaced that a new MIB film would have at least one female agent, but it certainly looks like the agents will be characters we've never seen before. Rodney Rothman (22 Jump Street) has the difficult task of writing the screenplay for this one, and how he pulls that off should be worth the price of admission alone.

Meanwhile, Sony also has revealed the title to the fifth (!!!) Underworld movie, starring Kate Beckinsale as the death-dealing vampire, Selene.  Officially titled Underworld: Blood Wars, the film will Beckinsale joined by Theo James, reprising his role as David from Underworld: Awakening. TV vet Anna Foerster is directing with Charles Dance, Bradley James, Tobias Menzies, and Laura Pulver co-starring. Underworld: Blood Wars opens October 14th 2016.
