Arnold Schwarzenegger And Cobie Smulders To Star In Hitman Comedy 'Why We're Killing Gunther'

While some of Arnold Schwarzenegger's films since his return to acting have been funny at times, like The Expendables flicks and The Last Stand, he hasn't done a comedy since 2004's Around the World in 80 Days remake. Anybody remember that? It's okay if you don't. Anyway, he's ready to make you laugh again in the comedy Why We're Killing Gunther, although it sounds like he'll have a chance to blow stuff up, too.

Schwarzenegger will star in the action-comedy written by SNL's Taran Killam, who will also take a role and make his directorial debut. Also starring in the film will be Killam's wife, Cobie Smulders, plus SNL’s Bobby Moynihan, Paul Brittain (Hotel Transylvania 2), Kumail Nanjiani (Silicon Valley), Randall Park (Trainwreck) and Ryan Gaul (Identity Thief).

The story sounds like loads of fun. It centers on a group of international assassins who decide to kill off Gunther, the world's best and most arrogant hitman.  However they find that finishing him off is harder than expected as he's always one step ahead of them, proving his reputation is no joke. This one's developing fast as shooting begins next month. [THR]
