James Bobin Confirms He's Directing The 'Men In Black' And 'Jump Street' Crossover

James Bobin has begun doing the press rounds for Alice Through the Looking Glass, but he's not only being asked about that. Much of the attention has been focused on the more interesting project he's been in talks for, a ridiculously crazy crossover between 21 Jump Street and Men in Black. While chatting with Comingsoon and a few other outlets Bobin went ahead and confirmed he will direct the bizarre comedy.

“Yes, it’s very early stages, obviously, but I’ve always loved the ‘Men in Black’ world. Channing [Tatum] and Jonah [Hill] in ’21 Jump Street’ are just so funny. Those guys and their world makes me laugh every time I think about it. That’s always a good sign for a film.”

Titled MIB 23, the film will be written by 22 Jump Street's Rodney Rothman, but that's about all we know at this point. While Tatum and Hill seem like a lock to return (Tatum has been a bit hesitant, though), Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones almost certainly won't. It may be a brand new pair of agents donning the cool shades next time around.

Collider adds that filming is expected to begin later this year so there should be more details soon.
