Last month we learned that a Young Adult reunion with Charlize Theron, director Jason Reitman and screenwriter Diablo Cody was in the works. There weren't any details at the time but now we know the film will be titled Tully, and the plot sounds like it should be right up the trio's alley.
With Bron Studios and Sierra/Affinity coming aboard to co-produce as the film hits the Cannes sales floor, the plot has been revealed and it sounds more like Cody's heartwarming Juno screenplay than the caustic Young Adult. Theron plays Marlo, "a mother of three including a newborn, who is gifted a night nanny by her brother. Hesitant to the extravagance at first, Marlo comes to form a unique bond with the thoughtful, surprising, and sometimes challenging young nanny named Tully.”
Production kicks off this summer in Vancouver. Theron can be seen right now vamping it up in The Huntsman: Winter's War and will be part of the Fast 8 cast in a villain role.
