'Wolverine 3' Adds Elizabeth Rodriguez, Ike Barinholtz Joins 'Mother/Daughter', Milla Jojovich Enters 'Future World'

The cast of Wolverine 3 keeps getting bigger with the addition of Orange is the New Black and Fear the Walking Dead actress, Elizabeth Rodriguez.  She joins Hugh Jackman, Boyd Holbrook, Stephen Merchant, Elise Neal, Eriq La Salle, and Richard E. Grant in the James Mangold-directed film. While plot details remain scarce, Mangold has described it as a violent R-rated Western. It will also be Jackman's final time as Logan and may feature an appearance by the "female Wolverine" known as X-23. But that's just a rumor. Wolverine 3 opens March 23rd 2017. [TheWrap]

Ike Barinholtz, who can be seen in this week's Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising, has come aboard the Amy Schumer and Goldie Hawn comedy, Mother/Daughter. Hopefully that title won't stick. Barinholtz will play Schumer's brother in the film penned by Kate Dippold (The Heat) and is loosely based on Schumer's relationship with her own mom. Christopher Meloni and Oscar Jaenada co-star. This summer you'll be able to see Barinholtz in Suicide Squad, and he also co-wrote Central Intelligence, the comedy starring Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart. [Deadline]

James Franco's upcoming sci-fi film, Future World, has just added someone very familiar with the genre. The Fifth Element and Resident Evil star Milla Jojovich has joined Franco's next directorial effort, which he'll be at the helm of alongside Bruce Thierry Cheung. Based on Franco's original story, it's set in a post-apocalyptic future ravaged by disease and war. Agains this backdrop a young boy of noble birth goes on a dangerous journey through the wastelands to find medicine to cure his dying mother, with only slim hope the medicine actually exists. Jojovich will play a drug lord, while there are also roles for Franco and singer/actor George Lewis Jr. aka Twin Shadow. [Deadline]
