Woody Harrelson Joins George Clooney And The Coen Brothers' 'Suburbicon'
It's taken years for the Coen Brothers and George Clooney to finally get their 1950s crime noir Suburbicon off the ground, but with the cast they're rounding up the wait will have been worth it. Joining the already-announced cast of Josh Brolin, Julianne Moore, Matt Damon, and Oscar Isaac is Woody Harrelson, according to The Wrap's sources.
This is a reunion for Harrelson, Brolin, and the Coens who worked together on No Country for Old Men. The tone for this one should be very different, though, as the dramedy centers on a small town that reflects the best and worst of humanity, seen hilariously in the lives of ordinary people. When a home invasion occurs, a seemingly perfect family resorts to blackmail and betrayal.
Clooney will be directing from the Coens' screenplay, and right now it's unclear when shooting could begin. Hopefully soon. Harrelson will be seen later this year in Now You See Me 2 and The Duel. He also was a part of John Hillcoat's amazing Triple 9 cast.
