Agent Carter Is Not A Fan Of Captain America Kissing Sharon

That Captain America, man...dude works fast. Or at least he does now. The love of his life, both before and after bein turned into a star-spangled popsicle, has been Peggy Carter. Together they helped defeat HYDRA during WWII, and decades later when he re-emerged they held on to those feelings for one another, despite her being old enough to be his grandmother.

Admit it, we all shed a tear over what happened to Peggy in Captain America: Civil War, but did anybody else's sadness turn to disgust over the way Cap was making out with Peggy's niece, Sharon (Emily VanCamp) like five minutes later?  Falcon and Winter Soldier thought that shit was baller status, though.

Well, Hayley Atwell wasn't pleased about it, and since shee played Agent Carter she'd be the most qualified to tell us what Peggy thought about the whole thing. She tells a crowd at the Dallas Comic-Con Fan Expo...

"Well, first of all she'd be turning over in her grave.  She'd be like 'no.' And she'd inject herself with the blue serum and become a super villain. She'd break out of her coffin and ground [Sharon]. She'd ground her. Then she'd kick Steve's ass as well.  I just feel that, you know - I wouldn't want to date my great aunt's guy. It just feels like it crosses an incestuous boundary. And Peggy just died. That's even more disrespectful, right? It's like, 'Don't touch that. You can't tap that!"

She goes on to add that Cap's current status as a member of HYDRA (In the comics, anyway. Don't ask, it's stupid.) also makes him unqualified to smash any of the Carters, as if there need to be another reason.

"She'd want the best for her and she'd want her dating a good guy. And now with this whole 'Hail Hydra" business, I don't know if Steve's good enough for her.  So on all levels, it's just a big fat no."

Who knows if there will be a fourth Captain America movie, but if there isn't then we may have seen the last of this relationship, anyway. Or at least the kissing stuff. Sharon may want to get used to the idea of Cap and Peggy gettin' down in-between movies, though.
