Renee Zellwegger Experiences Baby-Daddy Drama In The 'Bridget Jones's Baby' Trailer
So far 2016 has been a terrible year for sequels, but to be fair most of those have been hugely expensive action flicks nobody asked for, like Independence Day: Resurgence. There may be a much deeper connection between audiences and Renee Zellwegger's Bridget Jones, who is set to return this fall in the appropriately-titled Bridget Jones's Baby. And if there's anything people love it's baby daddy drama, so don't be surprised if the film is a hit.
Zellwegger obviously returns in her most memorable role, and one that has withstood the test of time if we're being honest. This time around Bridget has become pregnant by....somebody. The list of candidates is her ex, Mark Darcy, played once again by Colin Firth, and her new guy, a dashing American named Jack played by Patrick Dempsey. Why don't they just get a paternity test and solve all of this mess? Well, there wouldn't be much of a movie if they did, but it might make for a decent episode of Jerry Springer.
Also starring Emma Thompson, Bridget Jones's Baby opens September 18th.
