Charlie Hunnam And Jude Law Go To Camelot In New 'King Arthur: Legend Of The Sword' Images

If it feels like Guy Ritchie's newly-retitled King Arthur: Legend of the Sword has been on the way since the Dark Ages, well that's not too far off. The long-developing film was part of a massive photo reveal a year ago, and now as EW drops the first official photos of stars Charlie Hunnam and Guy Ritchie, the movie still doesn't arrive until next March. And even then will audiences be eager for the umpteenth big screen version of King Arthur and his knights of the Roundtable?

The images reveal Hunnam as the heroic Arthur, with Law as the villainous Vortigern, Arthur's uncle who takes control of the throne by murdering his father and brother. Judging by these images and that murderous plot, Ritchie may be trying to make his own version of Game of Thrones here. It remains to be seen if the plan to build this into a massive multi-movie franchise are still in the works but there doesn't seem to be much chatter about that anymore.

Also starring Eric Bana, Astrid Berges-Frisbey, Djimon Hounsou, Annabelle Wallis, and Aiden Gillan (Littlefinger on Game of Thrones, coincidentally), King Arthur: Legend of the Sword opens March 24th 2017.
