The King of all apes is set to stomp into Comic-Con this weekend with Kong: Skull Island, where there will likely be a trailer of some kind. But before that happens, Legendary and Warner Bros. are signaling King Kong's arrival with this brief teaser.
The promo features a man lighting up a green flare from atop a giant skull. That's ominous. The film , which centers on a team of explorers sent to the mysterious island, is directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts with Tom Hiddleston, Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson, John C. Reilly, John Goodman, Corey Hawkins, Jason Mitchell, and Thomas Mann co-starring. It's all part of an expanded universe that includes Gareth Edwards' Godzilla, and will eventually lead to a crossover movie between the two giant monsters in 2020.
Kong: Skull Island opens March 10th 2017.
