Paul Dano And Zoe Kazan Team For His Directorial Debut, 'Wildlife'

Paul Dano's career choices have mostly kept him on Hollywood's fringes, starring in films that are either indie or a bit off in left field. The Swiss Army Man and There Will Be Blood star will likely bring those same sensibilities to his upcoming directorial debut, which The Tracking Board says is a coming-of-age drama titled Wildlife.

Dano will direct the film which Variety adds was co-written by his girlfriend, actress Zoe Kazan. Neither is expected to star in the film which is based on Richard Ford's 1990 novel about 16-year-old Joe Bronson, living in 1960 Montana, who watches his parents' marriage fall apart. 

On board to produce is Oren Moverman, who worked with Dano on the excellent Brian Wilson biopic, Love & Mercy, which earned some of the actor's best reviews. This will be Dano and Kazan's latest feature collaboration since they starred in Ruby Sparks together.
