Tilda Swinton And Giancarlo Esposito Hit The Streets In First Look At 'Okja'

If there's one thing South Korean director Bong Joon-ho knows, it's monster movies. It was back in 2006 when he debuted The Host, an old school creature feature that went on to become an international sensation. Since then he's followed it up with the searing thriller Mother (a personal favorite) and the sci-fi flick Snowpiercer, which also went on to tremendous acclaim. Now he's back in the world of monsters with Okja, and Netflix has just released the first official image.

The shot features co-stars Tilda Swinton and Giancarlo Esposito, but it's pretty tame compared to the unofficial snaps of a garish Jake Gyllenhaal on set. You can check those out below, but his outfit is pretty out there.  Anyway, the film also stars Ahn Seo-hyun, Paul Dano, Lily Collins, Shirley Henderson, Devon Bostick, and Steven Yeun, with the story focusing on a young girl who must stop a powerful, multinational corporation from kidnapping her best friend, a massive animal named Okja.

Look for the film to hit Netflix in 2017.
