We're in the middle of a summer in which audiences have rejected sequels in a major way, so why in the world is there another Jack Reacher film coming? Two words: Tom Cruise. He wanted it to happen, despite the first film barely registering with most people. And now paired up with his old pal Ed Zwick (who he worked with on The Last Samurai) and a new co-star in Cobie Smulders, Cruise is back and kicking butt again in the latest spot for Jack Reacher: Never Go Back.
This time around badass former soldier Jack Reacher returns to his former unit only to learn that he's accused of a years-old murder. Of course it's all part of a larger conspiracy that can only be solved with lots of punching and kicking. Those are the best kind.
Also starring Aldis Hodge, Robert Knepper, and Holt McCallany, Jack Reacher: Never Go Back opens October 21st.
