Nicolas Cage Is Lost At Sea In Trailer For 'USS Indianapolis: Men Of Courage'
Hey, so whatever happened to that Nicolas Cage naval thriller USS Indianapolis: Men of Courage? We got a trailer for it a few months ago with the promise that it would be in theaters soon, but even then it had no distribution and as of today it still doesn't. So will it ever hit our shores the same way it has in the Philippines? Who knows? But somebody clearly hopes so because a new trailer is here.
Directed by Mario Van Peebles (New Jack City) with Tom Sizemore, Thomas Jane, Matt Lanter, Brian Presley, Cody Walker, and Mandela Van Peebles co-starring, the historical film tells the true story behind the brave men of the USS Indianapolis. In 1945 their ship was sunk by the Japanese, killing 300 of them and leaving the rest adrift in the Phiippine Sea where they face starvation or worse. Like hungry sharks. It's The Shallows meets The Finest Hours, only without Blake Lively to stare at.
We'll see if this trailer helps USS Indianapolis muster up some kind of release, even if it's a limited platform run or VOD.
