Transformers: The Last Knight is also expected to be the "last" film for director Michael Bay, who has been around since the beginning in 2007. We'll see about that, but clearly Paramount Pictures is going to pull out all of the stops to make his swansong the biggest yet. While the film is still a year away the first official poster has already been released, and it features Optimus Prime doing battle with an unusual foe.
The poster shows the Autobot leader, sword in hand, fighting a three-headed monster that looks like King Ghidorah's long-lost brother. Presumably this thing is a Decepticon, hence the tattered Decepticon flag in the background, but who is it? The Quintessons are known to have three faces but this would be a drastic change for them. Is it perhaps one of the Terrorcons, who all take on various monstrous forms? It's possible Bay has simply introduced a brand new character into the movie canon or drastically changed an original one. Would anybody be surprised if somehow this turned out to be Megatron?
One classic Transformer we know will be making an appearance is Onslaught, leader of my favorite Decepticon group, the Combaticons. Bay confirmed it with a tweet, but didn't reveal if the rest of Onslaught's crew would be seen, as well. If so, we can probably expect to see them merge to form the mighty Bruticus, who is way cooler than Devastator in my opinion.
