The heist film Finding Steve McQueen has found pretty much its entire cast. Vikings and Warcraft star Travis Fimmel will join Oscar winner Forest Whitaker (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story), Kate Bosworth (Blue Crush), John Finn (Glory), Rhys Coiro (Entourage), and Louis Lombardi (Jersey Boys) in the film directed by Mark Steven Johnson (Ghost Rider). In a plot that would make everybody in Hell or High Water giddy, the film is based on the true story of the biggest bank heist in U.S. history when a group of thieves from Youngstown, OH tried to steal $30M in illegal campaign contributions to Richard Nixon.
Dave Franco and Broad City's Abbi Jacobson will reportedly star in the Netflix family dramedy, 6 Balloons, which Channing Tatum will produce. Written and directed by Marja-Lewis Ryan, who is writing that Splash remake Tatum is getting fishy in, the film centers on the perfect sister who is organizing a major 4th of July surprise party for her boyfriend, only to have it derailed when she must take care of her heroin-addicted brother and his 2-year-old daughter. Uh, fun? [TheTrackingBoard]
