Droids are a huge part of the Star Wars universe, but there is one that pretty much everybody loves: R2-D2. The courageous Astromech droid with the feisty temper (there's a reason C3PO calls him a "nearsighted pile of scrap") has been instrumental in nearly every victory earned by the Rebels. So it begs the question: Why doesn't the Empire have their own dark version of Artoo? Turns out they do.
The latest episode of The Star Wars Show revealed the new droid C2-B5 that will appear in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Clearly he's of the same Astromech line of droids, albeit done up in a way that screams "Heel robot over here"!! I bet his beeps don't sound nearly as cute, either. We don't know much about C2-B5 except that the Empire's droids are subject to regular data wiping, so it will be interesting to see how that affects his core personality.
