It's Charlie Day Vs. Ice Cube In First Trailer For 'Fist Fight'

Fights are a fact of life at any high school. Sometimes it's the class bully, sometimes it's just a disagreement among friends, sometimes fights are used as status symbols. There were certain kids you just knew not to screw around with. But how often is it that teachers come to blows in the middle of the schoolyard? Not very often, but that's what happens in the new comedy Fist Fight, which pits Charlie Day against Ice Cube. Good luck with that one.

Directed by Richie Keen, who knows Day well from FX's It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, the film centers on a meek English teacher who is challenged to a fight after school by an aggressive history teacher played by Cube. And this one seems staged in a way similar to a favorite movie of mine, Three O'Clock High, in which we follow the cowardly guy as he nervously goes through the day trying to find a way out of getting his butt kicked.

Also starring Jillian Bell, Christina Hendricks, Tracy Morgan, and Dennis Haysbert, Fist Fight opens February 17th 2017.
