The Magic Is Back In New 'Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them' Trailer
Y'know, there are rumors out there that Warner Bros. REALLY wants to adapt J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, which is so damned obvious nobody should have bothered reporting it. Of course they want to, even if so far it's been nothing but denials. They don't want to distract from the current 'Potter' franchise they're about to launch with Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, which promises to be huge.
Yet another trailer has dropped for what the studio hopes to be the first of a trilogy (and probably more) set decades before the boy wizard's birth. Oscar-winner Eddie Redmayne takes the lead this time as magizoologist Newt Scamander as he has one magical adventure after another in the land of Muggles. Here's the synopsis:
“Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” opens in 1926 as Newt Scamander has just completed a global excursion to find and document an extraordinary array of magical creatures. Arriving in New York for a brief stopover, he might have come and gone without incident…were it not for a No-Maj (American for Muggle) named Jacob, a misplaced magical case, and the escape of some of Newt’s fantastic beasts, which could spell trouble for both the wizarding and No-Maj worlds.
Directed by the returning David Yates with Katherine Waterston, Dan Fogler, Colin Farrell, Alison Sudol, Ezra Miller, Samantha Morton, Jon Voight, Ron Perlman, and Carmen Ejogo co-starring, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them opens November 18th.
