I can't keep track of all the Marvel animated shows out there. It seems like there are a dozen Spider-Man shows and more Avengers shows, and that doesn't include Guardians of the Galaxy or whatever else is out there. Whatever, the upcoming season of Avengers: Secret Wars will have my attention for at least one episode because it will bring back Hayley Atwell as Agent Peggy Carter.
The news was dropped during the Marvel Animation panel at New York Comic-Con, where Steve Wacker confirmed Atwell would voice Peggy Carter in an episode that features Howard Stark, Captain America, and Iron Man. They'll be teaming up to face the threat of time-traveling villain, Kang the Conqueror.
This should be awesome news for anybody who is still mourning the cancellation of Atwell's Agent Carter series, which ABC cancelled after two low-rated seasons. The character has been a mainstay of the MCU since first appearing in Captain America: The First Avenger, playing an integral role in multiple key events.
As for Avengers: Secret Wars, it's apparently the fourth season of Avengers Assemble, which was known last season as Avengers: Ultron Revolution. This may explain why it feels like I'm surrounded by Marvel cartoons.
