So...how many times can the Vampires of Underworld find themselves on the brink of extermination at the hands....er, claws of the Lycans? Apparently, quite a lot because audiences keep showing up to see it. And that's perfectly fine; these movies have their fans who love to see a paler-than-usual Kate Beckinsale slip into something tight and dish out some death. They'll have a chance to do it again next year with Underworld: Blood Wars, and here come the latest trailers.
Beckinsale is back as the death-dealing vampire Selene who must, shocker, stop the Lycans before they wipe out her kind. Oh, but this time she's been banished so there's all types of conflict and stuff. Here's the synopsis:
Under the new leadership of Marius, the Lycans have increased in numbers and strength and have decimated many of the vampire covens throughout the world. With the Vampire race being on the brink of extinction, it is up to Selene to save the very coven which banished her and hunted her down as a criminal. Selene must become stronger than ever to defeat what’s in store for her next.
Also starring Theo James, Tobias Menzies, Trent Garrett, Bradley James, Charles Dance, and Lara Pulver with Anna Foerster directing, Underworld: Blood Wars opens January 6th 2017.
