J.J. Abrams Is Teaming With HBO Again On Space Drama Series, 'Glare'

For obvious reasons HBO once to stay in the J.J. Abrams business. Their last series for the network was Westworld, which looks to be the show that finally gets them out of a recent dramatic rut. And now Abrams and Bad Robot are developing something new that could be out of this world in more ways than one.

THR reports Abrams will produce Glare for HBO, which will be written by Javier Gullón . Gullón wrote Denis Villeneuve's dark mindbender, Enemy, so that may give us an idea what to expect from the space drama about the colonization of another planet.

No word on when this could start, but it seems very early on in the process. Abrams has been keeping busy on the producing front since directing Star Wars: The Force Awakens. He produced Showtime's short-lived series Roadies, the surprise horror 10 Cloverfield Lane, and Star Trek Beyond.
