NBC’s ‘Powerless’ Now Takes Place At Familiar DC Company

As the DC Cinematic Universe is beginning to grow, the DC television universes are branding out across the networks.  We already have the CW's “Arrowverse” with shows such as Supergirl, The Flash, Arrow, and Legends of Tomorrow.  The CW also has Vertigo (a DC subsidiary) comic iZombie as well.  Fox also has Gotham, as well as Vertigo comic Lucifer as well.  Each operates in their own universe, and each is well received.  DC is getting ready to add a “workspace comedy” to their stable.

Premiering February 2nd on NBC will broadcast Powerless, starring Vanessa Hudgens, Danny Pudi, and Alan Tudyk, the show will feature the normal everyday folks who have to clean up the damage done by superheroes.  The theme of the show will be that you don't need to have powers to be a hero.

The original premise of the show had the cast working at a fictitious insurance company, but to further connect to DC Comics and hopefully give us some cool Easter Eggs, the producers have change the company.  Batman News reports that the show will take place at Wayne Security, a subsidiary of Wayne Enterprises, the company that Batman himself, Bruce Wayne owns.  This probably means that we’ll be getting a cameo from Bruce Wayne, but who could play him on the show?  Certainly not Ben Affleck.
