Surprisingly, today's Warner Bros. Justice League panel opened up with Chris Hardwicke asking Ben Affleck flat out if he was done playing Batman. While many sites are calling his response a full-throated denial, I'm a bit more skeptical.
"Let me be very clear, I am the luckiest guy in the world. Batman is the coolest part in the universe. I'm thrilled to do it. It's fucking amazing."
He was enthusiastic throughout, later saying how much he loves being in Hall H, and that he would be an ape for incoming The Batman director, Matt Reeves.
But I'll be honest, to me it sounded like he was overselling his enthusiasm. He never actually answered the question that he was staying. And basically I'll believe it when I see Affleck suited up for The Batman.
