Because one film just won't bring in enough money, Variety is reporting that Summit Entertainment is hashing out a plan to split the final(and reportedly jam packed) Twilight movie, titled Breaking Dawn, into two. It's a tactic that will be implemented with the final Harry Potter adapatation as well. Seeing as how the cast is only sign on for 4 films, as well as writer Melissa Rosenberg, all of that will have to be renegotiated in their contract. But let's be honest, does anyone think any of these people are going to back out? Probably not, but they might ask for a crapload more money. Chris Weitz is expected to return as director, which should come as no surprise given New Moon's breakout performance, but he has not been officially tapped as of yet.
Based on what's been told to me by my beloved girlfriend, this whole Twilight story gets a helluva lot weirder, and I bet the final book is batsh*t crazy. Since I don't want to spoil it for those who don't know anything about it, I'll leave it be for now. Just know that these first two chapters are look calm waters compared to what comes next.
