More shots from 30 Days of Night: Dark Days

I don't think I've seen or heard anything on the sequel to 30 Days of Night since last November, roughly around the time that shooting was just wrapping up. Titled 30 Days of Night: Dark Days, it stars Kiele Sanchez(Lost, A Perfect Getaway) in the role of Stella, the sole survivor from the previous film. A year after the massacre of her town, Stella finds herself aligned with a group of vampire hunters in order to see revenge on Lilith, the vampire queen responsible for the killings. 

A bunch of new shots from the film have been released, and I'm diggin' the way it looks. I still have a problem with Sanchez replacing Melissa George, but I think she can pull it off. The biggest shock to me remains that this is a straight-to-DVD release, especially after the success of the first film and the popularity of vampires as a whole. The DVD is set to hit stores on October 5th, 2010. Check out these shots and let us know what you think!
